So I was in London a few weeks back and after browsing my favourite high street stores and some of those lovely vintage shops on Brick Lane, I couldn't quite find what I was looking for. It just so happened we were in Camden that afternoon, so I thought I'd take a sneaky peek at what their market had to offer. I came across a leather stall with about a million bags to choose from - you could spend hours there trying to decide your favourite! I spotted this one and immediately made my decision. I really like the warm chestnut brown colour, and the different compartments inside for all my random bit n bobs. I'm a fan of the 'worn' leather look, which I think this bag does nicely. I'm sure most of you reading this have seen all the 'Cambridge Satchel Company' bags that are around town, which I think are lovely, however I'm personally not so keen on the 'plastic look' they seem to have (and the price!) - what are your opinions on them?
This satchel was originally £70, but with my fantastic haggling skills (not) I got it down to £60 - I think the guy was in a good mood. I understand this is still quite pricey, especially if you're attempting to be a pennywise student like myself, however the bag is amazing quality (I believe it's camel leather) and I'm hoping it will last me a good couple of years - if not more. Also, if you like that 'leather smell' then these satchels are for you - they stink!
I'd recommend anyone to take a trip to Camden Market, there's all sorts of things to have a look at. The only thing I would say is you need patience, it's usually very busy and touristy! Here are some snaps of my leather - what do you think? Where have you purchased your handbags from this Autumn?
