December means fur & sparkles.

What I'm wearing: Dress - Topshop  Faux fur coat - Unit 9 ASOS Marketplace  Knee-High Sock - Primark  Shoe Boots - New Look

As the cold weather's in full swing and Christmas is fast approaching, shops are full of fluffy coats and seasonal party dresses, and I love it! So I thought - lets combine the two. This outfit would be perfect for 'Christmassy' drinks on a chilly night out.  This dress caught my eye when a friend noticed it on a mannequin in Topshop and urged me to try it on. It's quite a 'hey look at me' kinda dress and honestly, I wouldn't usually have picked it if I was on my own. However, once on, I felt like a sparkly bauble (if that's possible) and went in for the kill. I love it teamed with the knee high socks from Primark - a bonus for those chilly bare legs in winter. I think it can sometimes be quite difficult to incorporate over the knee socks with a dress, do it wrong and you end up looking a little off. Hopefully you guys agree this particular combo works?

The cream faux fur coat is my favourite winter warmer. I searched high-street and vintage stores for ages until I stumbled across a boutique on ASOS Marketplace called 'Unit 9', where the coat made it's appearance. The small boutique sell all sorts from cosy jumpers to vintage 80's jackets. You should check it out here - Unit 9. Originally the coat was £55, but with the 'propose a price' option I got it for £50. I really think this is quite a bargain compared to some of the high-street prices that give us all a headache, especially if it's going to be worn all winter. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this boutique.
